Does it count if I post on Leap Day?

Because nothing you do on Leap Day counts, you know.

Completed:
None, again, unfortunately. But plenty of...

Updates:

4. read 100 books in a year (29/100)

  • I got 15 books in this month (6 of those were graphic novels, but they totally count)! My favorites this month were The Tea Dragon Festival, Dear Data, and Go With the Flow.
21. read 30 new Newbery award or honor books (23/30)
  • One more down! Commodore Perry in the Land of the Shogun by Rhoda Blumberg - it was interesting to read a kids' book about what I studied in college, haha.
23. see 30 new animated films (15/30)
  • Halfway through! We watched How to Train Your Dragon 3 tonight and I have to say I thought it was lackluster. I fear I am getting jaded and hard to please in this category.
24. add 10 new enamel pins to my collection (7/10)
  • One of my favorite pin makers (https://sugarnova.art/) had a seconds sale, so I scored 4 new pins for cheap this month! Aren't they super cute??

    31. a year of (silly) holiday celebration
    • This month I observed Play Your Ukulele Day, Almond Day, Single Task Day, Pistachio Day, and Pokemon Day. March has some good ones, so get ready, y'all.
    Pistachio Cheesecake

    43. subscribe to 5 art magazines for a year (3/5)
    • My iPad not only brought me Procreate and art capabilities, but also the ability to subscribe to digital magazines! I subscribed to Calligraphy Crush which seems pretty great so far - I think it's really aimed toward novices and internet artists so it's a little less intimidating than the others I've been getting. I found a few other digital ones I might use for this item, too. But I don't want to overload, or I won't read them!
    60. r/52weeksofcooking - year-long cooking challenge (8/52)
    • More yummy foods! I love that I'm cooking so much these days!
    Rice: Takikomi Gohan

    Jamaican: Corn Porridge

    Braising: Beef Bourguignon

Used to Dislike: Roasted Brussels Sprouts

    69. display 5 pieces of my art (2/5)
    • I joined a group of artists in town who display at the public library, so I have a piece not only displayed at home (some Frozen 2 lettering I did), but also a piece in public!! It's for sale if anyone wants it, I guess! This is also going to help me with #80 because they display at the county fair every year!

    99. complete a reading challenge (8/50 books)
    • 4 more! A book with a pink cover (Burnout), a book published in your birthday month (Brownies and Broomsticks), a book that has the same title as a movie or TV show that isn't about that movie or TV show (The Crown by Kiera Cass - which meant I got to re-read the whole Selection series and man, it is terrible and great), and a book recommended by a blog, vlog, or podcast (Art and Fear as recommended by Austin Kleon).
Okay. I know I'm going to at least finish one thing in March, so you can look forward to that! Hope you all lived it up today. :) Back to real life!
