Complete: 73. Create a map of my heart + 89. Create pie charts made of pie + 100. Host a Miracle Berry party

Thanksgiving break gave me ample time and friend assistance to complete 3 goals!

First, my heat map. I don't know if I'm completely satisfied with it, but I love what I've come up with:

I wanted to put some things in the scallops on the edges, too, but I didn't have enough short things. I may revisit this.

Next, as you may have seen on the FB, the pie chart of pies:

What a delicious mess we made.

And finally, we had a miracle berry brunch after Friendsgiving:

Miracle berries make sour things taste sweet, so we assembled the sourest smorgasbord we could find. The best things were definitely the citrus - kumquats, lemons, and limes, especially, but it was so fun to try everything! They sell miracle berry tablets on Amazon - I definitely recommend it for a fun activity.

Complete: 40. Find my scent + 95. Take a local cooking class

My stepmom believes everyone should have a scent. Her mother wore Red Door, and she wears Lulu, which I think they actually quit making, but she stockpiled it. Grandma gave me Red Door for Christmas one year, but I couldn't wear it - it smelled too much like her. I couldn't take it for myself. I like the idea of having a scent of my own, but ultimately, I haven't been able to decide on anything. I don't know if it's in the cards for me to have just one scent, so what I did do is collect a bunch that I do like!

I found this company - Demeter Fragrance Library - and they have great, unique scents. I got thunderstorm, cedar, lilac, chai tea, Fraser fir, pistachio ice cream, dandelion, honeysuckle, watermelon lollipop, mojito, and saltwater taffy came as a free gift for spending lots of money, hahaha.

My favorites are watermelon lollipop - it smells just like watermelon candy, honeysuckle - such a nostalgic scent for me; it reminds me of picking honeysuckle in GA as a kid and sucking out the nectar, and dandelion - I don't know how they did it, but it smells just like a dandelion. I love that scents can just bring back a memory or help me recharge and focus.

I'm looking forward to using these ones up and then I can get more! They have more crazy scents that I need to try.

I also completed my local cooking class, but by local, I mean I had to drive an hour and a half away for it, since I live in the middle of nowhere now. I wish I had done this one when we were still in Utah, but I didn't know how good I had it there.

I looked for a community ed class and found a hot pot class through Kennewick Continuing Education. It was taught by a cute, old Taiwanese woman who didn't really act like she knew what she was doing? But we basically got to eat all the hot pot we wanted, so I was okay with it in the end.

I have an induction burner and I've always wanted to try hot pot, so now I feel fairly confident I can pull it off. She did show us some ingredients and their packaging which was helpful for me. I can handle the Japanese section of the Asian stores, but the Chinese has always been a bit mystifying. I'll be trying it myself soon!

Complete: 53. Get a massage

So I actually had 4 done last week! But I forgot to blog about this one in all the excitement. Which is a good thing because I didn't get another one done this week. Happy accident!

I did get a lot done this week, though, and I realized I'm on track to get 82 things done!!! And that's even if I ignore the ones that have been staring at me, stressing me out. So I'm going to ignore them, and still get a new record. Heck. My substitutions have helped, so I'm just gonna lean into that, and I highly recommend it for you other 101ers.

Also I launched my survey for my pie pie chart, so if you haven't taken it already, please do!

Okay, so the massage. I've never had one before, and I've always wanted to give it a try. So I did! I think I've always been hesitant because I thought it would be awkward, and it kind of was? But also not too bad. It felt super nice and was pretty relaxing! I think I would do it again, but maybe only if I really felt like I needed one? The downside is they are pretty expensive.

But overall it was good! 57 items done!

Complete: 17. Play 10+ Spiel des Jahres or Kennerspiel award winning games + 34. Pierogi making party! + 64. Buy 5 new dresses that I love

This week was all sorts of productive, thanks mostly to Jeska, my friend who lives sort of nearby.

She and her husband got 2 Spiel des Jahres games which we played this weekend, so now I have played 10 new ones!

  1. Codenames
  2. Enchanted Forest
  3. Istanbul
  4. Tikal
  5. Scotland Yard
  6. Broom Service
  7. Legends of Andor
  8. Ghost Fightin' Treasure Hunters (in the form of Ghostbusters: Protect the Barrier)
  9. Azul
  10. Kingdomino
I liked them all except for Tikal and Legends of Andor. Enchanted Forest was also a bit meh. The rest I liked a lot, but favorites were Istanbul and Broom Service.

We also had a pierogi making party, as it's a lot of work for one person. I attempted gluten-free ones and they turned out pretty good! Jeska even said she preferred my dough to her glutenous one. She had some blue potatoes, so we used those for the filling and they turned out a lovely lavender color. So delightful! But so many pierogies, hahaha (that's also why we made it a party).

And finally, I have purchased the last dress, though it actually ended up being a skirt. But hear me out!

We were at Target over the course of our time together and Jeska was showing me the cute purses and accessories they have in the girls section (cake purses! cat ears! sparkly snowflake headbands!), when I spied a glorious tulle skirt with shiny stars all over it. I lamented that they always make the cutest clothing for girls, but I had the urge to find the largest size and pull it off the rack. I tried it on and it totally fit. I found a perfect shirt to go with it, but I assumed the shirts couldn't possibly fit as well. How wrong I was! I am glad to tell you that I can fit into some XL girls' clothes:

I'm not thinking they would all fit - especially not their pants or dresses. And while I do love dresses, this skirt is just too glorious, and the revelation that I can shop at least a little in the girls' section is too marvelous to not include this in the list. Consider this one done!
